They're as different as...

Troy,

Does that SHSH have smooth micarta and an asymmetrical edge?????????

dave

Not the standard asymmetrical. The edge is off-center. The edge grind height is the same on both sides, but it's convex on one side and flat ground on the other.

Thanks, John.

It's not the Precious-Too, but I think it'll fill the void left by it nicely. This one is slightly thicker and has magnum-esque contouring to the slabs, which feels REALLY nice. I can't wait to have Bill modify the tip on this one!

:D :D

I love the Precious-Too... She is alive and well. Thank you, again. And the Siegle Nose Job (tm) is the t*ts! :D  Post some pics when you get it back!

Haven't you just described the standard asymmetric edge?

Holy Howlin' Howza!!

Sweet lookin' pair of MS's. Those would go nicely with ..... :foot: ummmmm ..... nevermind. ;)

Nice snag Troy.

The standard asymmetrical edge has different edge heights on each side. One side ground almost to a complete chisel, with a very tall edge height. The other side of the blade is then barely touched on the grinder.

The difference is very noticable.
