Thick Blades?

Thin blades for slicing. Thick blades for chopping. Keep it simple.

I use to carry around 1/4" thick blades all the time during my wilderness treks, I have since switched to thinner ones for better cutting abitity, I'm very glad I did.

Thickness is not as much a decider of cutting ability as Geometry is. As I mentioned above, if I have a wide blade that is thicker than your thinner not as wide blade, my knife may actually have better cutting geometry than yours.

I for some reason like a thick blade... Something solid feeling about that additional weight in your hand, and that 'tough' and 'hardcore' aspect...

I think its like big, heavy, noisy cars are usually driven my men with small winkies....


...hhmmmmm... I dont like thick blades anymore!
