Thick spine folders I'm unware of?

Have you looked at the Pohl Force Alpha Two or Foxtrot One?

Spines are 5mm thick on both

If it's the ratio that makes a difference, the Spyderco Vallotton Sub-Hilt folder has a pretty thick spine (4mm), in relation to the blade width. You can put whatever edge you want on it, of course. It is also a very classy-looking folder, with a narrow profile in the pocket.

Check out A.G. Russell's Sunfish Lockback.....6mm (0,233") spine. They don't come much thicker than that and at $70-$80 (depending on what scale material) they won't break the bank either.

I love mine:

(limited Texas Ranger edition, 2nd one from the top) Those others are longer...but the Sunfish is by FAR the thickest beast of them all.

Also in the AG Russell line are the Beak and the Medium Gunstock and 2012 Texas Ranger (I believe that's the bottom one in LX's photo). All have 3/16" thick blades.

There are a few knives that have been mentioned that I plan on getting...as a matter of fact I nearly pulled the trigger on a Dalibor Sirius....but I've got to save a little more money first. You guys are awesome!

I've been through them all and the Dalibor Regulus is the stoutest out there.....bar none. It truly replaces a fixed blade in my arsenal and I'm getting rid of the lot for this beauty!!

Of what I've owned, my Extrema ratio mpc is the thickest at 6mm. I had a fulcrum ii that was 6mm as well but traded it off.

The spydie tuff (blade is 0.157" or 4mm thick) and zt0300 (0.156" thick blade) are good contenders as well as both have thick blades...

Or, there's always the good ole Strider SMF with 3/16" blade stock is brutishly strong. I've had two and would definitely grab another one.

I'm with Jill on this one, for a thin in the pocket but thick-spined ~3.5" blade, a Spyderco Southard makes a lot of sense.

4mm thick blade at the spine, 3.46" blade, and small and light in the pocket despite the beefiness. Even smaller and lighter with custom scales:

I also have a thing for thick spined folders. In addition to the usual suspects, suggest looking into a few more (I know some of these have been suggested by above posters as well):

Medford Knife Praetorian
Crusader Forge
Microtech Socom Elite (maybe your best bet from your description) or Delta
Spyderco TUFF (this thing is just beastly and at a great price for what it compares to)
CRK Umnumzaan (it isn't as thick as many of these guys, but from the overall thinness of the knife it really feels and looks thicker)

From left to right - XM18, XM24, Medford Praetorian A, and Grayman Satu. The Praetorian looks thickest at .187 IMO

That said I'm hunting a Praetorian Ti for .270 thickness :P

The Sirius is an awesome knife man. Considering the cost, materials, and craftsmanship, they are the best bang for the buck.
To the OP, Medford makes some beef sticks.

My problem with all the thicker stock knives is the weight
If you have no problem with weight I'd be getting a dalibor.
I was talking to him few minutes ago really nice guy responds to emails fast his wait time is 6months currently the only thing stopping me from getting the Sirius is that it's around 7.9oz

I'd also consider Medford/demko for less weight el patron but it's 3/16 stock
