Thickness comparison, Caly3, Native4, Sage CF

Hi All,

I have the Sage CF and the Native4 CF. Love them both. The Caly3 may be my next acquisition

Can someone compare for me the thickness of the Caly3 handle G10 and/or CF to either the Sage or Native4 CF? Pics would be great!

denno if this helps much... but the sage is just a wee bit thicker. about 1mm i think? however high that bevel on the handle is--it's that much thicker.

Thanks Ken, that's great.

How's the CF on the Caly3? The Sage is textured, the Native4 is smooth/matte. Is the Caly3 like either? Different from both?

that's one of the reason i like the Sage better. It just fits my hand that much better.

CF on the Native IV is identical to that of the Caly 3, as is its thickness. As for size comparison with the Sage...

the cf on the caly3 is just smooth, not textured. i like the sage best.

I've had the sage for a month and the Native4 for only a day, but I think I like the smooh, buffed on the native better. But, we all have different tastes, that's why they keep building new variations.

Mike as they say variety is the spice of life. While i like the visual appeal of the smooth CF, my fingers like to feel the grippiness of the rougher CF.

I've been messing around with the T-mag which uses the roughened Carbon Fiber, and it's a joy to handle. The basketweave of the Sage is also rougher in the hand, but it gives me the feeling that it won't easily slip from my hand.

As far as size..While i like the larger scales of the Sage i can easily handle the Delica's size without complaint. So the Native and Caly 3 are right in between on the comfort level.

Isn't it nice to have SO many choices!!!
