thickness of kiridashi

What's the intended use? Will the handle be wrapped or bare? I like a thicker kiridashi (.25 or so) if the handle wil be held by the steel, but that's personal preference.

Good point. I make the traditional kiridashi to cut paper, sharpen pencils, etc. The ones used in wood working or as hidden weapons are thicker. For these, .25" is a good choice.
