I'm looking for a knife that's about the size of my Kershaw blackout in terms of length, maybe a bit shorter or narrower, but also really thin. Not too expensive as well.

easy!! the Kershaw Vapor. 3" blade, narrower and thinner than the Blackout, and you can pick it up in a black variant now: 1640BLK.

it doesn't inclue speed safe, but boy, is it CHEAP (read: inexpensive). other than that, i'd second the Leek if you want the speed safe mech.

abe m.

Spydercos with stainless steel handles are ultra thin, and pretty inexpensive too.

How about an aluminum handled Victorinox Bantam? It is very thin and I carry it on my left rear pocket and hardly know it is there. :)

Check out Benchmade 771 ! Or for fewer $'s, Kershaw Vapors, or maybe Smith&Wesson frame locks (Extreme Ops, with Ti camo) Major $'s, check out a Sebbie! Shoot, with the choices available, you should be able to find something in any price range!! Good luck with your hunt!! Marty  :D

NO! It is NOT okay to recomend a Smith&Wesson!!! Never! I've never known a brand with this many problems. After a few sharpenings, they will not hold any edge. And they will lose the second screw from the bottom. I have, like, 12 people a week come in with smithies they got from Big 5 (I try hard to not sell them) asking for that one screw. Never recomend them again. Taylor cutlery is my nemesis.
