Can you guys give me some research suggestions for thin moderns lime the kabar dozier and delica.

I am really digging the way thin knives feel in hand and disappear in pocket.

Benchmade 531 is roughly the size of a Skyline, and weighs in at 2.1 oz.

My only gripe is that the cool looking thumb stud has put a hole in every pair of pants I own. Lol.

AG Russell Featherlite. Great lock, one-hand opening, and as thin as can be. Available in several different configurations.

Might try the BM 940 or 940-1. Great thin and slim knives for edc . I got the 940-1 a month ago and it has not left my pocket since. They can handle most tasks for folding knives.

The Spyderco Chaparral with it's 2mm blade is a super slicer, and doubles nicely as a money clip or card holder in a pinch.

Another good suggestion. It's a bigger knife overall, but you don't notice when it's in your pocket.

940 is way more knife, but it weighs in at 2.9 oz (versus 2.1 in the 531). Both are good, the 940 is better.

Kershaw Skyline or Chill. Colt liner lock in D2 with either nylon or aluminum frame with rubber non-slip grips.

The Spyderco Delica and Caly3 are both the same size as the Kershaw Leek, almost exactly. They are better knives, in my opinion, though I do like the Leek and have a couple.
The Spyderco Chaparral is very slender and if you remove the clip will disappear in your pocket.

Here's some examples of my users. Starbenza large, Kershaw Camber, RR Sodbuster, Kabar Dozier Lockback.
Love the size of the Kabar Dozier, the Camber's height is pushing it in terms of what I like to EDC on weekends but it's an all together very compact light/medium beefy modern.

One of those small Cold Steel code 4s in CTS XHP might be calling my name. I have a Bradley Alias II auto coming in the post today as well and will see how that stacks up with the rest of what I have.

*Love the Delica and Caly, Goddard, Endura. Problem if I have those in the user drawer in the kitchen vs packed away they will be all that I use or grab for. It gets a little boring EDC'ing the same. knife but from a knife as a tool perspective I would put the Delica, Endura as almost perfect. I love the Caly but as crazy as it might sound I just might like the FRN better! Got a Goddard as a gift it's a lovely knife that is missing a choil! But the thing feels like a Delica in the pocket!

Price range? Framelocks tend to be thin too. Boker Trance/Hyper for inexpensive choices.

Anything under $200. But my comfort zone is $60-$125 with a decent steel. S35v, Elmax and 3v are my favorites although s35v and Elmax are nearly identical in use.

Benchmade 530 or Al Mar Falcon.

Both very well made, extremely light, and thin enough to use as a money clip if you wanted.

If price isn't to much of an issue then the William Henry EDC series is incredibly light weight and thin. I have a 6 and a 10 and both are so light you don't even notice it in your pocket. And the deep carry clip makes it look more like a pen. I recommend the 10 over the 6 as the 6 was way small then I had expected.

Another excellent option is the benchmade 707. This knife is my daily work knife, it is so light and thin yet has a blade that is so robust.

Falcon is a good choice, I've been waiting /looking for a Falcon or benchmade 10700 Nagara in a different steel for a while now.

Falcon in different steel? I never put much thought to it.

Granted AUS8 isn't a supersteel by any stretch. But with the tasks that this knife will perform, it's just fine. Open mail, open boxes, cut IP's off your shirt cuff... these aren't tasks that are going to quickly dull a knife of this size.

And when it does need sharpening, a couple swipes on the Spyderco double-stuff puts it back to where it needs to be.

I love the Al Mar UltraLights. Would I like them more in a different steel choice? Nope. It's the design and execution that keeps me interested.
