I always hate carrying my manix and recon 1 becuase the are just to damn wide. When I carry then I cannot fit anything else in my pocket or my hand in my pocket. Also I cannot were them in suit paints because the are to big and heavy. I am looking for a knife that I can use some what hard and it's also a suitpantsable knife.

what are some good, Thin as in not wide like the griptilian is, light wieght like under 2.7 ounces, about a 40 dollar price, you can take it apart so screws, pocket clip, locking, nice looking as in no crazy color or terrible zytel or frn looking handles (g-10 is fine), 3"-3.5" inch blade, narrow as in not like the recon one, good steel for the $.
Any ideas?
thanks

this are some critera so you know what knife I am looking for it does not have to follow all of them

Kershaw leek? The normal model model is 14c28, or you could get a blem composite blade with D2, fits all your criteria I think. Kershawguy.com ;)

Edit; Whoops, the leek is too heavy. the skyline is a good suggestion though.

Kershaw Skyline. I think we should come up with a sticky. It should read, "What knife for..." and the Kershaw Skyline should be the answer. Kind of like doctors prescribing antibiotics. Just take the medicine! Just messing with you OP! :P

I would say look at Al Mar Knives. The Al Mar Eagle HD is an awesome blade. Its thin, narrow, and lightweight. It is a very good slicer. The only downside is that the handle/scales are riveted on but the pivot pin is a torx screw so it is adjustable. Its one of my all time favorite folders period. The blade is about 4" and it gives you a lot of handle too. Some people think it is a bit overpriced but I think it is a great folder. Also it is a pretty classy/simple type design so it is a good dress blade.

The Benchmade 530 is an amazing knife. Slim, feathery light, lightening fast action and rock solid Axis lock, 3.25" of 154CM that slices like crazy. With a deep carry clip from the Adamas or Contego it disappears. It does have Valox scales but they're not at all cheap feeling.

I know you said no frn, but the delica is an awesome knife for the price, weight, steel. If your set on no frn maybe save a bit more and go for a g-10 dragonfly.

I was going to suggest the Caly3.5 as a thin, light weight and slack friendly 3.5" EDC but then I saw your price...

For about that or maybe $10 more get a kershaw shallot, 3.5" nice solid frame lock but very light weight and super super thin.

I locking isn't required check out the spyderco UKPK, it's FRN but not like other spyderco FRN wih the bi-directional texturing, when I first handled it I had to do a double take, it felt and looked like G10.

Just noticed your $40 criteria. Good luck finding a slim, light knife with good steel and G10 scales for $40.

William Henry E10.

Doesn't get much thinner, narrower or lighter...

As I was reading the requirements I found myself thinking the same thing, the E10 would be perfect if it wasn't over his $40 price limit by so much. I love my E10, but I don't suppose he'll have much luck finding one for $40 ;)

Ahh, I missed that part...
Well if he sells the Manix, and the Recon and adds $40 to that he'll be over half way to it!

Under $40 it has to be the Skyline.

The Skyline seems to fit all your criteria (3.125" blade, G10 handles, 2.5oz, under $40). It can be disassembled using Torx T6 (clip and body) and T8 (pivot) screwdrivers. The standard Skyline model uses Sandvik 14C28N, which is a great steel. Thin, narrow, and lightweight are typically not geared for hard use, but I've found the Skyline to be plenty tough in my EDC uses.

Here is what I measure on my Skyline.
