I forged this with three steels; 1095,1084 and 15N20 into a very interesting pattern
Heat treated to Rc 58-60 with a fine grain making the blade very strong and springy
Stabilized maple handle that is dishwater safe
Overall length: 13 1/4 inches
Blade: 9 inches long and 2 inches deep
less thatn 1/8 inch at the thickest and tapers to a fine flexible point

I love your simple & rustic, yet elegant blades. Good stuff, I'll bet this one is fun to use!

I am guessing there is nothing simple about making and heat treating pattern weld like that.
I will agree that it looks like it would be a riot to turn that baby loose on a bag of onions.
Another beauty for sure!!!

lol that's not what I said/meant. Simple design(s). No bolsters, ferrules, pommels, mokume, mamoth tusk, voodoo resin with marble inlay & gold leaf, stabilized dinosaur turd (I would actually LOVE to have stabilized dinosaur turd scales). But yeah, beautiful blade for sure!
