Thin Pocket Knife

Might be to cheap for you but the Buck 500 series lock backs are real nice and thin. They also have a nice curve on them to seat well in jeans pockets.

Hows about a Fallkniven U2?

Yes! I carried my U-2 for the past three years loose in my pocket, I love that knife. SGPS is a pretty sweet steel as well.

Note: If you're going to thin the blade down to 1/32" thick, don't try to cut the top off a plastic bottle. The curved plastic will twist and break your blade.:(

It is! Gotta be careful waving this thing. I named it "Something Nasty" and it lives up to the name. It is meant to be a "disposable weapon" much like the Civilian. If it breaks in somebody's rib cage, it has served its purpose. :barf:

it looks like a very cool knife! i like the fact that you double edged it

It is well under your price limit but I will second SPXTrader's suggestion of a Kershaw Shallot in ZDP. If you don't mind metal handles it is very thin and has a pretty high tech blade that has awesome ZDP steel on the edge bonded to another stainless (? pretty sure it's not D2 on this one).

I'm not sure I would want a 500 dollar knife at the bottom of my pocket. Of course I am outside quite a bit so it seems I get sand in my pocket somewhat frequently. I also carry lots of stuff in my pockets so I wouldn't want a real fancy one getting scratched and dinged up with everything else.

Not sure what you are thinking about when carrying the knife like this but just some thoughts. Pretty cool knife for around 65 bucks. I don't like all metal handles so if I ever get around to making a scale for the non lock side I'm sure I will carry it a lot more.

Edit: I just picked up my Stretch ZDP with carbon fiber handles and it is really thin too. This one might be more in line of what you are wanting and it also has that great ZDP steel.

I put my name down on the list for the mid-tech ripple. I think that's just about perfect for my purposes.
