things to buy?

the drill press has a 1/4 hp and theb band saw has a 1/3 hp motor they do show the band saw just go down to saws and its in therei dont know how good it will be i have other delta tools and they are good tools i am going to go get the saw tonight so far its the best deal i have found
 
Grizzly has good stuff. 90% of my shop is furnished in Grizzly and Harbor Freight tools and I've got no complaints. You can get a small drill press and a 1x30 belt grinder (good for handle work) for under $100.00. Iv'e got both and havent killed 'em yet in 3 years. I also agree that a good vice is vital but, you can get a good one for $30.00 or so.

I'd check the catalog first though. Alot of times the items are $5.00-$10.00 cheaper in the catalog. I got these off the web site. Grizzly pretty much has the same stuff just a bit more variety and a few dollars more. I've had good luck with both companies. The Grizzly 2" x 72" is still my main grinder for blades. Hell, I've got two of them now.
 
yeah looks good to me... grizzly has the same drill press for 79.99 and from what i hear they're all made from the same company and shipped in from china or something. as for the 1x30 i got one of those already just need to order some belts. thanks a lot J! see ya on sunday
 
Yeah man that 5 speed drill press from HF is what Im talking about. You should have enough money left over to buy a 119 drill bit set from Ebay.
 
i'm thinking of spending big in one shot.... find a decent set of cobalt drill bits.... might as well go with the good bits instead of buying a new 1/8" every week. how are the bits on ebay? worth it?
 
I bought a set of the Ti coated 119 piece set for $19.95 and they work good except I wore out some of the more popular ones which I replaced wih colbalt. If you are good to them they last but you need to know how to sharpen them too except for the really small ones. Get the cobalt ones if you can afford them though.
