Post up any odds n' ends you've come across out in the woods.

I can start with a few pictures from last winter followed by a link with the satellite image of the area which surprised me. Lots of limestone rock piles in formations and many of the rocks painted in rainbow colors with sayings about peace and love.

Flintstone chairs all around the place.

did you knab it or find the owner? You can just flush out that filter, engine, and get it going again! I've sunk a few in rivers and was able to give a little CPR on the spot and they start up again!

A few weekends ago, o the river after a flood, I found 3 paddles :)!

I was looking at deer tracks a while ago and I found a German 9805 bayonet (1916) sunk in the mud :)
It has since been cleaned up nicely.

I find some pretty neat stuff on occasion, but unfortunately I have seen some things I wish I could un-see. I do not want to derail the thread by talking about it though.

Great thread, keep the interesting stuff coming guys!

About three weeks ago I found one of the best finds in 45 years of playing in the woods. I found a Mossberg 500 buried in dried clay. The action was so rusted I intially could not open it. I spent two days cleaning and disassembling it. It now is unrecognizable from when I found it. Thou suffering from severe cosmetic damage it now functions. The two fellows I was with could not believe my luck.

I found this while canoeing.

It's possible that was stolen (to use themselves for fun at others expense) and hid. Dry or low water creek beds are hidden from view and are usually where they park them.

I found out later that the owner rolled it down the bank and broke his collar bone. He had a long painful walk out.

I came across this last December while hunting. There were signs of a old homestead nearby but the area was covered with mature size trees.

Here is one I found a year or so ago. They were obscured in a thicket (in the planter containers as shown).

I also found a very old (and relocated) grave stone. I can not seem to find the photo I took of it though.

There is an early 60's chevy rusted into nothingness in the middle of the woods in one of my regular spots.

Found a backpack full of meth-cooking gear last year. :(

Does the desert count. Out in the middle of the owyhee desert in southern Idaho I found a childs toy rolling pin.

Here is whats left of an old truck out on an island.

I found a dead dog on a rock once. Someone had laid a coat over it, they used rocks to weigh the coat down.
