Things you would want to see in a knife that won't happen....

Fingerprint recognition handles for auto's.or how about a priduction tilt or original 0777 .zt not mess with the original specs sot hey can actually remake a knife with out changing it.

I'd love to see an Opinel fixed blade modelled on the number 8 in 3v. Or in fact any Opinel number 8 fixed blade or any Opinel in 3v :)

Taichung Taiwan finally gets the respect that it has already earned.

How true this is. MANY of my favorite knives have this heritage...

2 handed or hand and a half Battle Mistress with an 18"-24" blade...... Ah, that's the money shot!

I've owned a lot of Taiwanese made knives over the years, never one from Taichung though. I can't say I've ever heard something directly bad about them, but I'm just not a Spyderco fan in general. Believe me when I say I've tried to like the Southard, I just can't get over the blade shape

A wide-blade, heavy duty, utility balisong. M390 flat-ground blade & Ti handles w/spring-loaded latch. With pocket clip.

L6 steel as a specialty option from manufacturers

Benchmade upgrading their 154 CM steel to S30V as standard - God knows at their inflated prices they could do it without a huge price hike

Cheaper Damascus

De-liscencing of Tri-Ad and Axis

A Halo the size of an Ultratech

Wishes by company:

Benchmade: M4 bladed Adamas.

Buck: Production model 110 with G10 scales. A flat sided, solid black G10 Vantage Select or Avid model. Resumed production of the Buck-Strider collabs people on a budget can try a strider.

CRKT: USA made versions of the M16 and M21 series knives in S30V with a stronger, thicker, autolawks bar mechinism.

Kershaw: USA Kershaw S30V version of the Thermite in the $70 range, pocket clip redesigns for Chive, Leek, and Blur.

I hope this will be a fun thread....

I've just been thinking of design changes or just things in the knife world I'd like to see happen but through either production costs or manufacturing capabilities or whatever probably won't.

1) A "CC" ZT0560 - I'd really like to see a ZT0560 handle done like a Strider CC model with smooth g10 and Ti. Throw in an M390 blade and I think we would have a winner.

2) A knife collaboration between Hinderer, Emerson, and Busse. Basically a XM-18 3.5" spanto or slicer grind with a .125 stock blade made of INFI and Emerson quality G10 with a wave feature instead of a flipper. I wish I was an artist because I'd like to show off how awesome it looks in my head.

So let your imaginations go, let's see what you'd like to happen in the world of knives.

A bowie version of this by ZT for around $200 with a DEEP carry pocket clip!

I want a Sebenza or Umnum with a flipper and premium steel, in both Ti and carbon fiber scales.

Please make this Mr. Reeve.

It would also be nice if occasionally Hinderer would extend to everyone LE pricing. I would like to try one.

Ahh, double tap.

But since I'm here I also would like a Strider smf with a flipper option and more z-wear steel.

It doesn't happen often, but Hinderer does have flash sales in their website at LEO/FF/Military prices

Speaking of Strider, I'd love to see the PD-1, Z-Wear, and S110V in the FFG grind and not just the 3/4 grind

CRKT Hitchcock Hole in one with the handle sprung at 2x the force and some good steel. I don't care which steel at all, give me 5160 for all I care. Just something which can properly hold an edge.

+1 on the Adamas with better steel.

The Adamas is the best feeling folder in my big hands that's why I like it. The D2 however goes from shaving sharp to work sharp way too fast. It needs sharpening about 5 times more often than my barrage 154CM when used for the same tasks. Cable ties, blister packages and other everyday stuff which shouldn't be very taxing.
