Think my 21 pivot needs loctite

I took it apart and Lightly polished the washers with Flitz on some cardboard. It’s smoother than it was (it was already plenty smooth). I was able to tighten the pivot up a bit more due to decreased friction. Hopefully it will stay put now... if not, a bit of loctite will definitely work.

Loving the 21 and have a used large 21 Insingo on the way that I got for a good price. Don’t plan on keeping both a drop point and Insingo so it will be fun testing the different blade shape and deciding which is best for my use.

Good luck. Both are great. But each blade excells at certain tasks. I've tried that and it's a bust. Slight nod to the drop point.

I can't crank the pivot down on my lg 21 or it will hardly open. I dabbed a bit of blue on it to keep it from backing out and it's all good. Would be cool if the pivot bushing were toleranced correctly and I could crank it down as it should be but it is what it is. Still a fine knife.

I put a bit of low-strength Loctite 222 on just about every fastener. Works great and gives me peace of mind.

I’m a big fan of LocTite 222 also! I use it on all kinds of stuff, including gun grips and just about everything that screws onto a knife.
I haven’t needed it on mt 21’s but wouldn’t hesitate to use a smidge if needed.

On temperamental pivots (flippers & such) I still use 242.
