Think the BK9 can do this job?

Well, you said you saw a green tint. That would suggest a chemical treatment.

And if you just cut it with a chainsaw, even old cedar would still have a very strong odor.

If any of it is tinted green, it's almost assuredly all treated wood, which you DONT want to burn. In addition to being illegal and extremely unhealthy for you and everyone in your neighborhood, it STINKS when you burn it.

Or still build something out of it. Just saw off or snip any nails sticking out of it.
From the image posted, it looks like the green-tint is seeped into the wood which suggests to me a chemical treatment, regardless of species.

Weather-treated wood is EXCELLENT for all manner of outdoor building projects. You could build a shed, a chicken-coop, planters, or use it for some other landscaping purpose, or build a stand to keep your fuel-wood off the ground. Use you imagination, draw a couple of diagrams, and spend the time you would have wasted destroying these assets (and a BK9 on nails, and yourself over-exerted) BUILDING a lasting structure! The weather looks good in the pics - get family and friends involved! I'm jealous of those building materials, in case you cannot tell. Good luck and have fun!

P.S. If you're not up to building with them, you could prolly still post them on craigslist or whatnot and someone would take them off your hands as I wish i could do. Again, you're not in Wisconsin, are you?
