Thinking about a BIG one!

Well it's been a while but I finally found one in the price range that I wanted. I got a #45 roughneck in king wood. I don't know much about the wood but it's nice looking. It's a single blade which is what I was looking for and it's got a cool shield. It's big and the blade sits out enough for me to pinch open. I think the EO ones would be a little easier but this is easy as well. I'm gonna give it a try carrying it and we'll see how it goes. The only other knife I have that's as big is a newer 51OT. Take a look at the pics and enjoy! Report on the carry to follow.............

That in hand shot is great, man that's a brute! Nice looking knife, look forward to hearing about how she carries.

I have been admiring these bigger ones for awhile myself. Thats a great looking knife Randy, the king wood is exceptional

Alright, it's been about a month and I've been carrying the roughneck since I got it. It's a big knife but it sits in my pocket fine. I've got a pair of 5.11 BDUs that I wear and they have a small pocket inside the front pants pocket and I never really thought of it as much more than a place for my car keys to get stuck but the roughneck sits upright in the inside pocket really well. The knife gives me a good feeling when I put my hand in my pocket and hold on to it and more so since it's been cold here lately. The knife seems to hold heat after I've been sitting down a while and go out into the cold. Anyone else have this "sensation" with other knives? Another thing I discovered is this big wide blade is super sharp and a very good slicer. I'm really liking it and I'll continue to carry it. I'm glad I got it, it's a keeper.
