Thinking about a pocket Wharncliffe... Delica, perhaps?

The wharncliffe is probably my favorite blade shape. After losing my CRKT Minimalist wharncliffe a few years ago, I decided to modify a Cold Steel Spike bowie into a 2" wharncliffe.

I have a feeling I'll someday pick up an Endura wharncliffe (or even a Spyderco Police wharncliffe if ever made).

this is the part I don't like with the delica wharn - it is actually using more real estate

my vote is for that Yojimbo 2. Stock is thick but with a very thin hollow grind. Excellent EDC

And to add to the Cold Steel Tuff Lite, I grabbed a Delica Wharny on theBay today.

I also ordered a Dragonfly Wharncliffe from WhiteMountain. (I already have a G10 Dragonfly - fantastic little knife - can't wait to check it out with a Wharn blade.)

So, inbound this week:

Cold Steel Tuff Lite
Delica Wharncliffe
Dragonfly Wharncliffe

I think I'm set for Wharnies now! :D

I would like a chill on the wharncliffe, so for what I am concerned I would also give a look at the dragonfly wharncliffe

Love me some wharnie. I don't have the 2 you've mentioned buying but they look sweet. Been carrying this one with a Buck 110 for backup and a leatherman super tool 300 as my work setup for awhile now.

Which Gen/model is this one. Have to ask, how slicey (or not) is it? Or is it closer to a sharpened prybar?

Gen 6 3.5 fatty 20cv with a REK regrind to .015 behind the edge. It works really well for what it is but it's never going to be as slicey as something like a Spyderco Delica (I think my hap 40 one is like 2mm thick). But for most of my daily uses it works awesome.

Do you mean choil, perhaps?

And, yes, I do have a Dragonfly Wharncliffe in-bound from White Mountain Knives ! Dragonfly is such a wonderful knife.

It's definitely not slicey. It's very much a sharpened pry-bar. That said, it would be a heck of a work knife.

If you ever require a folding Wharncliffe to be used extensively around water (salt water or otherwise), the Spyderco Salt 2 Wharncliffe (especially the serrated version) is a great choice. It’s generally the same as the Wharncliffe Delica, except that it has a saber/hollow grind instead of FFG, has no steel liners, and is yellow-handled.

Just got the tuff lite and it is a lot of knife on the cheap. It was also razor sharp.

I don’t mind the spine size at all... plenty of room in my pocket for that.
It looks goofy, carries small though. It's the flat scales and blade to handle ratio. The fact that it's a lockback helps make for a compact edc.
