If you can afford the extra expense, go double cut, if you don't you'll want it eventually. Of course you could always buy a coated blade, use the crap out of it, then strip the coating and have it bead blasted later. Either way it is win-win. For a coated blade I am leaning toward the sage with black ot tan canvas mag slabs. When my DCs come in I will be able to tell whether the mags on the CG is overkill. Like one said before, you can always sand them to fit, but you can't add material to the stand slabs to make them fit better.

I thought about it, but I decided to not spend the extra dough. This knife is more for my collection than for use so I wanted a coating.

Man, for a collector I would definately have gotten the doublecut. It's definately the nicer looking of the two Whatever floats yer boat though, it's a rather simple mater with the ash's to refnish in bare metal should you want to later on.

I went with the Black/Black & Tan G10 mags and I love it. If I did another it would be the same with a Double Cut blade.

That is the same one I got..if I could do it again I would get the same handles but with a DC blade. Someone has a pic of one in that combo and it looks awesome. I don't think you can go wrong in any combo really..

While the DC looks awesome I went with the black and my second choice would be the olive drab. I'm more than happy with my choice. Can't wait for this!!!
