Thinking about getting a co-worker a knife

Why not the RAT1. It is the toughest folder for $27 that i saw. AUS8 is very good to sharpen and maintain.

I'm looking forward to his reply, but I'm guessing it has to do with any number of the irritating stuff they're done over the years. Bad customer support, history of poor heat treats (mostly involving d2 though) There was some bothersome issues with the RAT name, also I think there were troubles with the Becker stuff, but not sure.

I know I don't buy from them, also don't buy from SOG though so its all just opinions

You pretty much hit it on the head with your list.
I'd rather not get in to it.Let's just call it 'opinions' & leave it at that.

I already bought a Buck vantage select.
