Thinking about getting a Griptilian for a friend. Is their QC a bit off still?

I bought a 551 a couple of months ago and it's an awesome knife for the price. Sharp out of the box, 154 CM is great, and seems to take a decent beating.
 
if the QC on the knife is off, get an exchange.

I had an issue with a much more expensive benchmade (blackwood folder) and the dealer I bought it from sent me a new one once I described my issues. its a production company, they make a lot of knives, griptilians especially. there will be some bum ones but they are rare and its not worth worrying about.

Benchmade has no problem exchanging their knives for even the smallest defect. I've owned 5 or 6 Mini Griptilians, possibly more, and QC was very high throughout. :thumbup:
