Hi everyone,
I currently have a Fallkniven F1 and a Dozier KS-3 Professional Guide. I just got the F1 and wanted it as a carry when I'm fishing on the river - needed something stainless. I use the KS-3 for misc. camping and hiking.
I'm really wanting an ESEE though, and I think I want a RC-4. I don't like blades over 5" so I'm not looking for anything huge. The ESEE appeals on many levels - it seems like all I see in Doziers are safe queens, and even though I know it's designed for it, it's an awful expensive knife to take out and beat on. If I HAD to survive with it, I'm sure it would be wonderful.
I was wondering how the RC-4 stacks up against something like a Dozier? The Dozier is D2 and has a 4.75" blade. It's really nice on every level (except the non-stainless aspect).
I guess I'm looking for a carry knife that I'm not going to cry about when I jack it up or when my son bangs it against a rock (I think that's just a matter of time).
Regards,
Jeff
