Do any of you guys or gals have just Spyderco ? With all the differant deployment systems ie..flipper , thumb stud , spydie hole and maybe some others I don't know about..It might be nice to allways have the same deployment on all your folders...Excluding traditional style pocket knives of course..
CD

Edited,,funny thing is, I just ordered my first Spyderco..If its as perfect as I'm hoping, I might actually do this...

All of my main user knives are Spydercos. I have a Leek for dress, a couple of SAKs, and a couple CS fixed blades, but for user knives, I happen to love Spydercos.

I mostly have spyderco folders too. Every now and then I'll use a SOG Flash I or a SAK, but 90% of the time, it's a Spydie.

Been there and back with my folders. Spyderco is my first choice and has dominated my purchases but I always have a custom mini-grip in rotation.

I have two Para 2's that I rotate everyday. The all black goes with me to work and with some outfits outside of work, and my digicam goes with me everywhere else.

But to switch out for all Spyderco? I would say no. I personally love Benchmade and the Axis lock. Actually, I like their other knives too, especially their designs. Once in a while I carry fixed blade, though not as often. When I do, it is an ESEE.

Each manufacturer or custom knife maker brings something different to the table. Then again, if you carry for self defense soley, then muscle memory is a good reason to stay with one. Other than that, buy what pleases the hand and the eye.

I have one RRF and most current knives are Spyderco. I use to collect several from different brands but I sold them all except RRF.

Other than Busse for the big choppers, I am all Spyderco. The caly 3.5, the Chapperall, the Bushcraft, the polywog for whimsy, ... no other brand is needed.

I like my Spydies. Out of my "modern" folders, I have mainly Spydercos. Three Benchmades, three Chris Reeves, one ZT. About 7 Spyderco folders. But to switch over to just Spydercos? Nope. First of all, I have about thirty slipjoints. Never gonna get rid of all of those. I like other brands, nothing wrong with cutting those out, but I like mine.

I see ads from Spyderco that let customers know they have Randall knives in their Golden factory outlet. Even Spyderco sells other knives in their store. Do whatever you want to do, whatever you want to focus on. I just need some variety.

Busse is like Spyderco in fix blade. Highly addictive :)

I ended up switching to "Spyderco only" a few months ago. My very first knife back in January was a SOG, followed by a dozen Kershaw, some Byrds and then finally along came the Spyderco Tenacious. Since then I sold off everything that was not a Spyderco. I did just sell off my collection, keeping only a PM2 as my edc. I am looking at maybe getting a Kershaw leek to carry on dressy occasions if I can find one on the secondary market for a good price, but that will probably be my only non-Spyderco (except for the highly anticipated BF Skyline :-D)

Spydercos are my favorite for sure but I really like Zero Tolerance, Hogue Elishewitz and Emerson folders too.

I EDC on weekday: Persian, Caly3.5, and Kopa Coco. Weekends: Persian and Lil Persian. NJ & FL travel Caly3. Native lives in my car. For last 6+ years Spyderco is always my choice#1, but before Spyderco I carried SAK for about 8 years and this knife perfect for travel and NYC & Boston trips. So technically I never was 100% Spyderco. Also during these six years I bought few Kershaws, Mcusta and one BM. None of them never made in my EDC, but today I have little cute Moki in my watch pocket. Will see how this will go

This thread prompted me to re-take my inventory of folders. I had 12 which honestly is far more than I need - although that didn't stop me ordering a Sage 1 and a Green Tenacious(!)

DPX:
1 HEST 2.0f - Black blade, Green G10 scale

Fallkniven:
2 TK3 Folder - Cocobolo scales

Great Eastern Cutlery:
3 #73 Scout - Cocobolo scales

Ontario:
4 Rat 1 - Satin blade, Black nylon scales

Spyderco:
5 Dragonfly - Satin blade, Stainless scales
6 Junior Dialex - Satin blade, Black G10 scales
7 Para 2 - Satin blade, Camo G10 scales
8 Persistance - Satin blade, Black G10 scales
9 Sage - Satin blade, Carbon fibre scales
10 Tenacious - Satin blade, Green G10 scales

11 UKPK - Satin blade, Green G10 scales

ZT:
12 0200 - Satin blade, Black G10 scales
13 0350 - Satin blade, Black G10 scales
14 0550 - Satin blade, Black G10 scales

I really like some of my other non-Spyder folders but to be honest like RetiredGuns, I too started out with Spyderco as my first decent knife and have pretty much come back round to them (hence ordering two more!). I just think bang-for-buck they are incredibly good value with incredibly consistent F&F (which is outstanding). I love my ZT0550 but the Spydies are just so pocketable for me that they are still getting more pocket time.

Very happy to enjoy Spydies (almost) exclusively in EDC and use...

Variety is the Spice of Life. There's plenty of time/space to buy all the Spydercos you can handle and still pick up some other brands as well :)

I've thought about it....Out of all the knives I have I always seem to come back to Spyderco and my Small Sebenza

I have a fair amount of Spyderco's but I like my ZT's too. Most of the time I do have a Manix or PM2 in my pocket though.
