Was a little concern about the durability of some homemade burlap micarta.
Started doing some preliminary workup for a knife handle, and noticed it seemed to be tougher to cut and grind then anything I have worked with so far. I have worked with stabilized wood, natural hard wood, and G10.
As far as hardness to work with I would rank them thus. Homemade burlap micarta, stabilized wood, natural hardwood, G10. Again this is just a prelim. won't really know until it is finished and I have put some used to it. But so far I am optimistic.
