been thinking of getting one of these after reading some reviews. Price vs what u get seems good deal. Was wondering if anyone has had lockup problems or any issues. Hours have been cut and i dont like this sak so it seems this would a good choice

Get it.

You will not regret it and you will buy more Spyderco and then you will need to seek help. But really the knife is amazing. Actually one is in my pocket right now and it's still shaving sharp and i've used it for about 6-8 weeks.

if the endura4 is around 50bucks why get a tenacious? is it just an over pricing from a website or are these two knives priced the same?

Altougt cheaper the Tenacious has some bennefits over the std Endura:

G10 handles
FFG blade

I definitely recommend the Tenacious, the only thing I don't like about it is the liner lock instead of back lock. But that is purely personal preference.

whats the difference between the byrd g10 cara cara and the tenacious? the byrd seems to have a longer blade. Wouldnt have so many questions if we had a knife shop around here. Most u can find is a dusty harpy for 120. Good luck with that sale

Like the others I would say get it!! That is if you only have 30 bucks to spend. If you are willing to spend more, pick up that endura...or a Native they will NOT dissapoint!

The cara cara is a lockback and has a larger blade. Echoing everyone else, get the tenacious - you will not regret it.

can't go wrong with a Tenacious! hell, it's just the price of a couple fast food meals. It's been my EDC for months. Thinking of going back to something a bit smaller, though. It is a tad heavy, and a tad large, for my taste. But it's such an excellent quality knife that it hasn't stopped me from carrying it nearly 24/7.

Thinking about picking up a persistence actually, which is just a slightly smaller Tenacious. Still kinda heavy for its size, though.

It's a good knife for the money, for EDC it's size can take up a lot of real estate in your pocket. Make sure you wearing a belt with this one. Depends on what your cutting and how long, because the knife can get very uncomfortable.

Been using mine for 8 weeks every day zipping cardboard and plastic sheeting, touch ups aren't too hard, easy to use with gloves on, great user knife so far.

any side by side pics with a manix or chinook? i have an idea about their size.

What most everyone said here. The Tenacious is a very well put together knife, without taking price into consideration. If you gave me this knife and I didn't know the price, I would consider it a $70-$100 dollar knife, really. Its that nicely made.

You can put an extremely sharp edge on it, one of the best of all my knives.

Get it. I have the little brother version, the Persistance, and for the money it is a great knife :thumbup:
