thinking of buying a 119

David, I recovered those two bullets from a buck shot by one of my buddies while we were cleaning it; he shoots an older Remington M700 chambered for the 30-06 SPRG. He was using 150 grain CoreLokt factory rounds; I was surprised to recover them, most exit. OH

Here is Walter, his buck, and the rifle. He used to own a gunshop, this is a Remington Mountain Rifle that was left when he closed years ago. It was still new when he started hunting three seasons ago. OH

Me using the 118 to take meat off a deer; this one was destined to become sausage. The Buck 118 is perfect - enough handle to grip comfortably but not so much blade to get in my way. OH

Thats GREAT! you dont want to them exit! expansion & channeling is crucial picking the right grain an bullet weight & design bullet is always a challenge so it won't exit, otherwise "kentic energy" the delivery punch, to knock it down and no thave it go clean through! so you don't have to run him or her down for hours or days. Nice Buck! OldHunter....GOT MEDALLIONS? LOL I could go for some....as my police Chief says I don't want to get a call and have to go down to someones house "their front lawn" & put down a Deer in front of their kids and neighbor's.....LOL He's right! knock it down clean!

Personally, I think that it is too big. Go with something smaller and with more belly. After all, even the Smidgen in my pocket has dressed deer.

I agree Ben, I only use a Vanguard in sheath on my belt & a 103 that I keep in my backpack or fanny pack.....
