Maybe you are kidding a bit, but if not, read his original post. He clearly stated he didn't want any advice, so, he didn't ask you for any in the first place. All the replies started as just a joke.

I guess YOU didn't see the humor in MY post..."Please don't not ask for my advice again"...:D..:)....

Finally !

A forumite who posts in General that doesn't need help in selecting a knife, a multi-tool or some other cool collectable devise that we all enjoy so much !

Amazing!

Only problem. . .mnblade has been here for several years and has over 1000 posts.

Now. . .if only the newbee's would catch on to this novel idea ! :grumpy:

:p

Relax Medic1210. . .everyone, in this thread, is jokin' around and hammin' it up a little. ;)

So you're saying that you have a problem with people asking for advice?? Thats pretty damn ignorant. I spend quite a bit of time researching my purchases and I always include advice from real live people. You may be the kind of person who will never pull over to ask for directions when lost, but I certainly am not. Its stupid not to use your resources. I wish I had the time to handle every knife/tool in existance and see which one I want, but I don't. Therefore, I take an educated guess based on my findings and advice from people who have probably been in the same situation as I.

Its cliche, but everyone here was a newbie at one time. It sounds as though some of you have forgotten that and have taken on an elitist attitude. I hope this isn't representitive of the rest of the community...

Doh! My bad! Didn't catch the double negative. I couldn't tell if you were joking because your smilies looked like you might have been serious. Again, my bad. I guess I just can't read.

Actually if you will notice, I'm the one who kind of posted the first joking reply. Like I told Glockman, I just didn't catch the double negative, and thought he might actually be serious, mostly because of his choice in smilies. Like I said, it was just my eyes deceiving me. BTW, there aren't too many people as relaxed as me. No hard feelins! M' Kay?:D

This is one of those times to just step back and get some perspective. This thread was meant from its inception as a "non-thread." This guy started this thread making a declaration, then stating, "but I just don't need your help at all on this. Carry on."

In other words, read and go away. So, no one should get angry. The rule here in the forums is to keep things "on-topic" with the intent of the original poster. He has made his intentions clear. In order to keep this thread on-topic ...

STOP POSTING HERE! ;)

Did I just shout? Oh, am...I...sooooo...sorry! I'm just mortified. :) :)

As you "newer" folks hang out here longer at BladeForums, you will come to realize that I DO like to joke around ALOT, eventho I DO take my knife addiction very seriously.:D.:D.

...And the double negative thing was a good catch, as that IS what I ment.:).

Ignorant ? ? ?

As opposed to receiving advice from "real dead people?"

Educated guess ? ? ?

ROTFLMAO ! Proof that Paxil is needed in this world !

Keep 2 things in mind as you surf this place Minjin. . .

#1; lots of tongue in cheek action.

#2; watch for the smilies. . .they'll keep you from stepping on your privates.

;)

Oh, welcome to the forums.

Of course...I'm fully versed in the Internet way of insulting someone all throughout a post then putting a little smilie at the end to signify that you can't say anything back since the poster was "just kidding." Fairly juvenile I think.

Thanks for proving my point.

It's humor. Laugh. :) :D :) :D

No need to get all bristly and start accusing people of being elitist and juvenile.

The people here at BF are some of the most easy-going people I've ever seen, real-life or not. In fact, this forum has spoiled me. Now, whenever I see any sort of forum wars, I think to myself, "If only this were BladeForums."

It's all in good fun. Peace. :)
