BAZINGA!!!

I was just laughing really hard at the designs and advertisement of their knives, but it's less funny when I think that a couple of years ago, I'd probably be collecting money to buy one of their knives and would probably join, too. Their advertisement is misleading to the new enthusiasts. It's like a ''mall ninja abyss" where you fall and never come back. I'd drink piss with Bear Grylls and hunt elephants with Rambo before I join mantis militia. I just think it's plain immoral to charge so much for the knives. Thank you and good night.

And here I was ready to sit back with some popcorn and watch the madness unfold. Sigh....so disappointed.

I hear there knives are hardened using the blood of polar bears (which we all know increases strength and durability due to the high salt content of polar bear blood) and then tempered only on nights of the blue moon when the magnetic energy of the cosmos is its strongest and of course all this is done by a buxom blond virgin of cornflower hair of the utmost beauty who must be sacrificed by that very knife so each one has taken a life and therefore will never falter under the pressures of tactilol use.

Are they really that laughable? Not trying to start a fight, I must be missing something. I have a Mantis TA-2 - I paid $20 ish for (local) It is a great knife. Granted I will not win any style points for using it, but it is well worth what I paid. The rubber grip is great.

The new owner seems to have put a spark in someone's @ss and quality has gone up.

It's the nonsensical hype and marketing that most people find laughable. The knives themselves might be OK for what they are. If it works for you, it's a good knife no matter what others say.

I have never seen the ads for these knives. I did see, however, the nutty shaped folders and some crazy fixed blade designs. I kind of see what you're talking about. But, to some people-"A knife is a knife" and maybe, just maybe that will sell a few more knives...because they are ....DIFFERENT.

If you like their knives and want to purchase knives from a company that spams on the backs of others, lies about blade steel and shows poor ethics, by all means do so.

And, that about sums up the Mantis story, right there. Let's move on, folks.

I think joining is an excellent idea.

Hahaha. ^
Mantis knives make Microtech and Cold Steel look good.
Speaking of unethical business and goofball marketing.

Wow! My TA-2 was perfect out of the box. Sharp! I have no complaints, but I doubt (after reading this) I will buy another.

Look at some of the hunting/ archery ads---people are drawn into that stuff.
