Thinking of moving?

Just give up Hot and Dry for Hot and Wet, move to Florida. Home of the Concealed Weapon or Firearm License. That’s right not only can you carry a gun but you can legally carry a Severtech (or other big and tough automatic knife) concealed. Not only that but we just changed the law that if your life is endangered you need not retreat to your house before you are allowed to use your legally concealed weapon or firearm. Florida, it may be hot but at least it is pro gun (and knife).

This is like a shopping list for Idaho:

1- Essentially unrestricted. Having a CWL gets you out of using the instant check system for handguns
2- Yep
3- Nope
4- Simple, especially if you already have a permit from elsewhere
5- yep
6- yep (there's one I going to watch tomorrow)
7- yep
8- legal, although some retailers won't sell if you don't have a CWL, but see #4 above

Seeing the real estate comments: I moved here from Pittsburgh. I sold a 1500 sq ft 3BR/2BA 1 car garage for $150K and bought a 3200 sq ft, 5BR/3BA 2 car garage with twice the lot for $140K.

Add great hunting and fishing, plus winter sports, and it all adds up to a fantastic place to live.

Besides, you can help me and Skunk drink all that beer of his...

I live in central Virginia. I grew up here. I've been throwing the idea of moving out West around for the last 6 months. Possibly AZ but it's not in stone or anything. If I did go then it would be by myself, I'm not sure if that would be a good or bad thing. I guess there are pros and cons for each. I might as well do it while I'm young, 29.
 
Move to Canada!

Strict gun laws, all of the are registered, black rifles can only be used at an aproved range, we have IPSC, 3 Gun and IDPA, but you might have to drive half way across the country to get there, and we have no automatics or balisongs! What more could you ask for?

Sorry to jump in late....
1) CCW no problems..
2) Even Full auto black rifles welcome
3) Gun laws very lax
4) NO registration
5) Matches just up the road about 45 miles
6) INFI 1500 4-5 times a year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
7) Weathers not too bad, we do have season

Oh my G0d, I stop looking at the forums for few days and my favorite local Kydex king starts thinking of leaving.

Well don't consider Columbus Ohio as a potential moving location. City counsel just passed an assault weapons ban yesterday. It basically bans anything that is capable of accepting more than 10 rds. A 10 rd mag won't help if it's a Glock or Sig or whatnot cause they potentially can hold more.

Seriously, Florida sounds good, hot and wet. Maybe thats just my overactive imagination. I love the mountains, but I need to be near the water. I'm serious, I got a calling, almost a pull, to the ocean. If I wasn't so damn lazy, I'd probably be interested in getting a captains or pilots license. I'm most at peace when I'm on the water.

But then again, thats just me ;)
