This been done before?

You've done it again, Trace. Another cool idea.

Are you selling any of your firesteels on your site yet? I can't seem to find them.

I'm still developing alot of these idea's and dont update my site very often:rolleyes: I post stuff here, and on Custom Knives and guns is the best way to keep track of what Im doin, and when I have some of these various things for sale I'll let you guys and gals know..

I do things for the most part on a custom basis but I can see the need for some of these things to be mass produced..;)

Good deal then, Im thinking by now someone would have said they have seen this before.. Thanks everyone for the input, I really appreciate it..

BTW I still have a bunch of other idea's similar to this in the works, so stay tuned..:D

I'm waiting for your SAS compass firesteel with a replaceable fire rod. Sign me up!

Next you need to figure out how to combine that with a whistle, a knife and some bacon! You'll sell a billion of them to scouts and hunters alone.

Is the bottom of the whistle blocked off at all, like this would be put together:

You need a thin slit of air to hit the "resonance chamber" in my experience.

All you need to do is have a plain piece of tube (no slot) and blow across the top of it much like you do with a beer bottle, then slide the steel in and out to change the note.
