This has been a LONG time coming**** (See the added edit)

Congratulations on a long and successful career and all those neat tricks that you so openly shared :)

Hi Paul,

I am saddened to hear that the custom knife world will loose one of its finest associated craftsman. However I applaud your decision to take it easier and spend more time on the porch.

Paul in the years to come, yours will be the work which all others will use to judge their own standard and quality.
Many will strive to emulate you but only a very few, if they are dedicated and talented, will succeed.

I cherish every one of the sheaths you have made for me and I wish I had many more.

Your work ethic, business ethic and general dedication and diligence to your craft is second to none. You are an example to younger upcoming craftsman of what can be accomplished if you dedicate yourself to your craft and treat your customers with professionalism and respect.

My interactions with you over the years have been one of the highlights of my journey in knife collecting and I will miss that greatly.

I wish you everything of the best for the future Sir and I hope that I have a chance to meet you again in person.

Best wishes and regards

Steven Lewis

The shadow you’ve cast over this industry is so long, my friend, I can’t see the end of it.

Pun not intended? 😁

Paul it was great to meet you at Blade Show a few times, and my lady (the one who makes the square black sheaths) was especially delighted. Hope to see you at a blade show again some time!

Greatest ever. Your art is practical and beautiful and I am fortunate to have great examples of your remarkable work.

Paul may you enjoy your retirement. I was glad to have met such a gentleman as yourself!
