Ilbruche (leather ninja and grip master) used to always speak very highly of David Farmer's work. I have such respect for Ilbruche's craftsmanship, that I was sure that David must make great user-oriented blades. But, I didn't get to handle a Farmer until Rupestris gifted me one after a contest. The small knife that Rupe gave me made me a believer and I bought this Custom Golok in O-1 with scorched cherry handles. I got it tonight and messed around with in the kitchen, it is as light, fast, and sharp as any knife that I've handled. I hope that Koyote Girl's got her stitching hand limbered-up, cause this knife needs some pants! If this blade performs outside the way I think it will, David Farmer is simply one of our very finest knifemakers.

Nice score. I do think that David Farmer is one of the best out there. He managed to combine great designs with equally great craftsmanship! He knows the most impotant feature on a knife is the blade. That is why his edges are "scarry sharp!"

Amen to the sharp thing.. I keep waiting for it make light-sabre sounds when I wield it...

I was drooling over that one in the sale thread. What a fantastic looking blade.
Where is the balance point on that?
One day I hope to handle one of his small blades, from everything I hear they are incredible.

Jeez that thing is Sweet! The holed out section must give the knife a completely different feel in hand too.

That's a cool design with loads of character.

I love the speed holes!

All the best,

- Mike

The balance point is just where the handle ends... My advice is that you buy one (sell other knives if necessary)!

Fast and light!

Sigh.

He juuusstt beat me to it.:o

I've had Mr. Farmer's web-site up on my right hand monitor for 3 days now. My will is weakening.:o:o

Looks like it would be quite fast with the holes in the blade. How does it perform outside? Have you tested it yet?

Thanks - I haven't been this excited about a blade in a long time!

Snake - David said this a smaller, lighter version of the Dangerous Curves, I really like the feel. Only problem is that now I am going to have buy more Farmers (but not till I get a Koyote blade!).

OP - I almost responded to post to tell you what the chances were of me dropping out:D Let your will go, you need one of these, I promise....

Not yet. I opened it late last night and just home today. Hopefully, I will get it outside later today, I'll post pics...

That is really sweet looking.

It would be awesome if the holes in the blade made a tachikaze "swoosh" sound.
