I've bought two knives in the past week after reading posts in this forum Geez louise, this is one expensive place to read.;)

I hear you. For the longest time I was buying Benchmade, Spyderco, etc. Then I stumbled in hear ... that was about 20+ slipjoints ago (and it's only been a couple of months).

Now, just how long did it take you to reach this conclusion?

It was quite easy to see upon my first arrival here, that I was going to get into trouble. Well, I'm quite deep into it now.

You have to watch Gus, and Elliott, and Dennis has become qute a bad influence as well. These are the foxes that are guarding the hen house. I try to contribute myself, but I'm certainly not in their league.

Oh, and I forgot. You have to put up some pictures. It's got to be in the fine print here somewhere.

Woah, there is no league here. We are just a bunch of knife users and collectors with more common ground than uncommon ground. :D

I do not care if you are into an old knife you found in a drawer or the latest custom. It really does not matter, but the commonality of enjoying traditional knives and many things that go with them does.

Well said, Gus.

:o :D :D :D :D

I love you guys. I'll never catch up; you've got too big of a lead.

BTW, I found 3 old knives in a drawer at my M-I-L's house and she told me to take them. I did.

I agree, I was starting to get bored with more modern styles and started meandering through here. It revitalized my interest in knives as I realized I had very few traditional knives. Since then I have bought multiple slipjoints (including a case hobo cuz it was just too cool to me) and ordered my first Custom Slipjoint. Now I am back to being excited.

Bastid's pic's of his knives certainly have had alot to do with my drooling:D

I try not to collect knives. I almost bought a yellow Buck 309 two weeks ago. I've decided to just rotate my knives through my pocket for the next few months. My surprise last week was a Browning 822 that sat in a drawer for 15 years. I forgot that great little sheepsfoot blade. This week is an amber bone Case stockman.
