I buy a plain edge Rescue, black handle. Thing cuts like a laser. One day after a couple of weeks of carry it just disappeared. It was the first time I ever lost a knife.

A month or so later I get another one since I know that they aren't making any more, but put it in storage since I'm carrying a new Lil' Temperance. A week or so ago I felt like carrying something lighter so I switched to the plain edge Rescue. We'll this one just disappeared too. Spent the last couple of days looking for it, and I'm declaring it MIA.

Anyone else out there ever lose a clipit?

Funny thing is I've had a blue Rescue for a long time, continue to carry it everwhere, and never misplaced it even momentarily.

Carlos,

I haven't had the mis-pleasure of losing any of my Spydies, BUT if (when) you find the two that you lost, you MUST send one of 'em to me so that at least you won't be able to lose THAT one ever again. Ok?.:D.

Funny, you sure someone in your immediate family snatched your rescue just because it works great? ;)

Carlos

I've been looking for my FRN Native for the past few days. I know it's around here....somewhere............

several years back, when I didn't know anything about knives, I had a dragonfly.

It was my only knife, one that I've had close to six years now.

but a couple years back I lost it for about half a year. it was in a suitcase, and i found it when I was packing bags for a different trip.

bummer you lost two rescues.

i never actually LOST a knife before.

I've been there man. I bought a Black Ti bladed Delica about 6 years ago, and had it for about a week. I took it in the field with me and that was the end of that. I feel your pain. My blue rescue 93mm sits in a box on my closet shelf where I can see it. Life goes on. At least for the bastard who is enjoying your new knife. Oh well

I lost a serrated Rookie once, while surf fishing. :(

I tried not to be angry with myself, but rather to view it as a learning experience.

It didn't work.

I'm better now, but you better believe that I hang onto my Military with enthusiasm.

I brought along an ats34 military on my honeymoon afew years ago. Clipped it to my swim trunks. lost it snorkeling. that was one of my first spydercos

I know how you feel Carlos. Sometimes it seems like there's a paranormal conspiracy that's out to drive us nuts by hiding things like knives, keys, or other small but important objects. Just gotta buck up and continue on or it makes ya crazy. Often these gremlins tire of their little game and return the objects once we accept that they are gone for good. It's weird.

3 or 4 years ago, blue Delica disappeared. That was my everyday everywhere knife. Drove me crazy overnight, but the next day, there it was, on the floor at a temporary workplace. No one else snatched it up. It's sitting at my feet as I type this. Just got a new blue Delica to carry, so this one is now retired, after something like 7 years of service...

Had an original civilian JIN-1 rubber/aluminum stolen out of my truck w/ my NIKON F3 camera... I missed the knife more. I'm on the job and I got a good idea of who stole it.RRRRRRRGH!javascript:smilie('')

you should get a few and pass them to the friends around you so that if you ever lose yours, you can get it off them...

so yeah, i'm aXed, wanna be friends? :D

aXed, very friendly!

I had lost about three of those damned original Delicas with the plastic clips. They were forever getting caught on things and pulling out but, unlike a metal clip, I could not bend it back again, so I would eventually lose the knife. I gave up on them until Spyderco changed to the metal clip that many of you dislike. For me, it is infinitely preferable.

My wife says that sometimes "the other side" needs to borrow something but they always return it...eventually. I will admit that I've had very good luck with lost items showing back up; some of them have just taken a few years to reappear.

Once I was so distraught over losing my blue delica that I went out and bought two more. I needed a back up in case I lost it again. A few weeks later and lots of nagging my wife dragged me outside to clean the car. Two seconds later I hear her laughing, she found my original blue delica under the car seat. It cost me a lot to get that back from her. I wasn't allowed to buy any new knives for over a month. At least now I have three.

I lost a Buck 110 for two years, I could even remember the last time I had it. My parents found it when they moved. It turns out that I fell asleep in the easy chair and it slipped out of my pocket. It dropped out of the chair when they moved.

Sorry about the rescues.

Hey guys, no sign of the missing pair yet. However I just got a new Impala which is easing the loss. :D

My Endura is sitting at the bottom of the Chesapeake Bay. I was swinging up onto the top deck of the boat I work on, when I felt it come out of my pocket. I couldn't reach out and grab it without falling so I watched as it hit the side, opened up as if to wave "goodbye" and fell into the water. I still have no idea how it fell out, as those metal clips have quite a bit of tension on them. Maybe it was just its time to go.

It nearly happened to my Meerkat several times. The wire clip attaches to the linen of my coat or jacket every time I bend therefore I nearly lost it. Fortunately it sticked to the linen so I could retrieve it :)

Now about the Rescue problem of yours... Did you check THEIR pockets? (THEY are the children, the wife, colleagues aso. ;))
