Hey guys sorry to revive a dead thread but I read through this and found a few old Herreros knives for sale at a old shop that's about to close down in Richmond Virginia. I ordered one and am pretty excited for it to arrive soon but I think there are a few left if anyone is interested...I considered buying them all but I can post a link if anyone is interested. It seems like he may have stopped making them because of his neck pain I couldn't find anything only made past 2019-2020. I'll post pics of mine when it arrives.
Shoot me a msg with the link and I'll have a look! Dunno whether it would sound as "deal spotting" for you to post the link in the thread. 🤔

Yes this is a blast from the past :) Was a good run with Jose´. Sadly his body broke before his enthusiasm did. We got some great knives from him.
I'd be curious about an old shop in VA having some of his knives for sale. The shop must have bought them 2nd hand from one of us?

Looking forward to seeing what you found.

I think he was just an enthusiast like us selling knives out of his home he only has imports from France and Spain.

That's a different one than I have ever seen from him. Looking forward to more photos. Cool.

These knives are wonderful. Great work here

Interesting to see the differences Don :) The nail-nick on yours looks like it is a little deeper :) I've been carrying mine in a Max Capdebarthes belt pouch

Jack, the copper (?) accents are really something else. I have to know what it is, how it's done?!?!?!?! This knife is beautiful all around.

At first it looked like a liner but when you zoom in it's actually in the stag.

Thanks Rick, he did a few patterns like this. I got him to make me one in 1095
It does look like he kerfed the stag scales and slipped in some twisted copper - into black epoxy?
Maybe we can get Jack Black Jack Black to tell us more.
I think you're right Ray, I think that is the first time I've looked that closely! :D
