Tops knives mini Tanimboka Puukko.

The little bugger is 4" in overall length, and I could see them being relatively popular with folks around the porch.

I guess they're pretty new, I don't really follow Tops knives because a lot of it is more modern-ish but I saw this little guy and just had to order one.

For those who legally can and do pocket carry a fixed blade this would probably be great for that, when it arrives I'll probably try it as a neck knife like intended before deciding if the lefty sheath I make for it will be belt or neck carry.
I think the sheath may also have a belt loop on too.

The Mora Eldris here is about 5 1/2” overall so the Tops is probably a bit too small for me.

I wish more stores had a selection of knives in stock as I would love to see how this Tops feels in hand.
Real difficult to tell just from pics.

I think it's likely going to be a 2-1/2 finger grip for most people, probably 3 for me since my fingers aren't too fat.

I'm really hoping this knife doesn't prove very bulky, that's why I never bought a mora eldris.
They seem like a chunky stubby knife, more short than actually small like they took a full sized mora and sawed it off instead of scaling it down.
I'm sure they feel good in hand and are very practical in use, but it's not something that would carry well for me.

I'd be interested if it was in stainless.
The fact that it's 1095 is part of what sold me on it, but I understand wanting SS.
as a teenager I had a cheap neck knife I wore 24/7 for a few years and I didn't have to worry about it getting wet because it was stainless.
It definitely would have rusted on me wearing it like that if it was carbon steel.

Nice. I've been thinking of getting an Eldris. Depending on the price (Me, Myself, and I are cheap S.O.B.'s if there ever was one), this TOPS might be another option ... especially if it's carbon steel.

I am. The max I'd pay for a knife like that is under $50.
I paid $150 for a Tops Desert Nomad in 2018. For me, that little knife isn't even worth 1/3 of the Nomad, so $80 is out of line to me.

I'm just curious, what about it isn't worth it to you ?

It's got a nice little leather sheath. I like the blade, and even the blade length. I do, however, personally feel the handle is just a bit too small. It is likely a two finger knife.

For me, the size, materials and simplistic execution don't add up to $80. I've paid that much for a small folding knife but there's a lot more manufacturing steps and costlier materials which made it worth it for me. Obviously this is a personal assessment and we each buy according to our own criteria.

I'll probably have a little more grip on it myself since my fingers are thin, it's not a lot of grip regardless but I won't be doing anything I wouldn't with a little slipjoint from my pocket so I don't have to worry as much.
I may not even feel the need to add a lanyard fob to it.
