What a nice pair! Great work Todd.

I can't wait to read your thoughts on the knives.

Is that a 5/32 Yuma?

Todd does really beautiful work, even in his work horse line. I'm having fun checking out the M-18. No it is 3/16...I'm rough on things, 3/16 is just better for me :)

Yes, looks like fun indeed! I love the scales on that M-18.

Fun so far :) The M-18 is just on loan to me for a piece I am doing after three years of testing Todd's knives in the field. I was pretty sure I wouldn't want anything this big to carry much these days, and just borrowed one. But after handling it, I am starting to think maybe I'll see if I can reserve #69 to keep in the truck. Definitely a very well thought out, very well executed tool.

very cool - and good to see you're still up and mobile!

Yeah, funny that you mention that. I took these photos as test shots on the side of Walden's Ridge after doing tree removal work and a stove swap out at my sister-in-laws house the day before. Our kitchen is still in the process of being rebuilt so Thanksgiving dinner is being fixed at her house. The stove died that day while she was baking a pie, after three trees had fallen in her yard blocking the paths from the drive way to the front door and the back door. Climbing the side of Walden's Ridge the day I shot these, I didn't feel like the most mobile man in the world lol.

Quite the potential there! That is an excellent looking M-18.

The grinds on this thing are simply awesome, and it really does feel great in the hand in use.

I bet giving it back is going to be tough.

As always Mistwalker, your pictures are a work of art in themselves, and if I haven't told you, I'm very honored that a man such as yourself that is as respected as you are in the knife industry, has enough interest in my work to support me the way you do........
Give them knives hell buddy! Have a great Thanksgiving day today.........

(If #69 is the one you want, consider it yours, we'll figure out the details on it later. I already have some cool MW special touches I can put on it ;) )

Sweet!

I always enjoy seeing your photos and reading your thoughts. Looking forward to some sort of review.

Beautiful pictures of some awesome knives!

I also would like to handle one :D one day!

Thank you Todd, photography is my one real passion in life, and I like having well made tools on me with some of the places it leads me. Eh, I feel fortunate t have found you. Your knives are exceptional in the world of knife making these days. You are old school in your drive to produce quality tools custom fitted by hand, and impressive in your desire to keep them affordable when I routinely see lesser knives sell for more. You're a great guy. and from what I have seen with my own eyes, your heat treat is second to none, and your grinds and fit & finish are always top notch. In a world where so many knife companies and knife makers are catering to the darkness and participating in the fear mongering, you hold to your original desire to produce high quality cutlery for the real world user and outdoors-men and women. For that I applaud you, and am thankful for having met you. Your philosophies, ideals, and craftsmanship are things I take great pleasure in supporting to whatever extent I am able.

That number, or more accurately symbol, has played an important role in my life. It is in the astrological sign that I am born under, but more importantly it played a huge role in my early philosophical studies in seeking balance and harmony in the chaotic world that was my youth. I would greatly appreciate that one being mine.

Very! Thank you. I have posted a long term review of my experiences with Todd's knives here on Blade Forums, and six months later it is still on the front page in the Knife Reviews & Testing section. This time the review is going into a publication that one can keep on their bookshelf and read again years later, even if the grid collapses :)

Fabulous pics mistwalker. I'd love to get my hands on a M-18.

Thank you, I am still taking shots of them in the field, so not many that can be shared openly just yet. I have studied the M-18 a lot since Todd first made it, some in hand, but until now more so visually developing theories on how it would function in various tasks. Having some one on one time with it I feel it is one of the most well thought out wilderness tools I have handled to date.

Thank you, Todd does some beautiful work. Vic is right on there. Come to blade and get a good look at Todd's work :)
