Bill, that's such a great piece, I would fix it. That hadda hurt more than a knuckle into the belt! Yeah, a piece that good should be repaired and sent along to someone that will get a lifetime's worth of proud ownership out of it. If it makes you feel any better, your pictures are very good, too. As soon as I saw your pics of that knife, I was trying to figure a fix for it, but these other guys are light years ahead of me on fixes and machining.
 
Man that sure was a nice knife, even so it's not bad enough that you can cary it and use so it's not a total loss. It realy does freak people out when you whip a nice knife out and cut through steel banding and such!
