Nice find. I'm sure you already know but in case you don't, Endicott Johnson Shoes was a manufacturer in Endicott, NY a small city in the Southern Tier of NY State.

Wikipedia has a pretty good write up on them.

It's 90 minutes or so south of where I live.

I did know. The shoe connection, the Camillus connection...the awesome F&F. I love it.

That is a fantastic knife, there's just something about old knives with black scales and a patina that does it for me. I could look at photos of knives like that all day.
A true gem, and a lucky find, congratulations!

That's the twin of this years forum knife, right? (Except for the bail, I guess.)

Peregrin--where do you live? I'm in Watertown.

I live there-grew up there, my father, grandfather and most of the immigrants(mostly Italians) that moved to the area worked there and lived in quality houses provided by the Johnsons at low cost to there employees...great score Dan:thumbup:

Outstanding! I have a couple of those Endicott knives as made by Remington. What a great pattern. Yours is in sweet shape!
