This may interest some of you...

Thanks for sharing Mist! It's great to see that SRI put out articles on non-BHK, LT Wright, Battle Horse Knives products (which I'm also a fan of).

I just got mine!! Woot! I'm stoked Brian. Thank You!

Cool, glad you like it! I really like the lay out Erin went with for the photos, she always does such a good job with that.

Will this give me a "need" for a Kephart? Might be a tad expensive to read this ;)

It will show you one, the need will come from within if it comes to you ;)

Awesome article Mist!!! Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to see the woodsman pics!

Thanks man, I'm glad you liked it! Well, I am taking it on wanders during "think-breaks" at work...and pretty busy so it will be a day or two. Spring here in a new land for me, so new things to study popping up all over :)

Yeah, the folks at SRI understand there are other good knife makers out there man. I am a fan of their work too myself.

Awesome read mist, bought the PDF. Great photos. Thank u:D

Thanks man, glad you liked the piece. Working with Andy's knives is always a pleasure for me, and makes them easy for me tow rite about them :)

Thanks Mist. I'll have to check it out. Hope you're enjoying the spring.

Yeah, now instead of wandering woods carpeted in snow...I'm wandering marshes carpeted by buzzing mosquitoes :) But there is so much alien (to me) flora to check out I'm having a blast :)

Great issue Mist!

Thanks again

Thanks man, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I think SRI is a great magazine with a lot of good content.

Brian, purchased PDF copy, great article, looking forward to seeing/reading more.

Bought the PDF tonight. Sadly the internet isn't working vey well, so I can't download it yet. Hopefully it will be working tomorrow and I'll get it downloaded . . . that and I need it to work if I'm ever going to be successful at sharking a knife I want!

Cool, hopefully working better now :) If you like the magazine, the special they are offering right now is a really good one.

Finally was able to get it downloaded. Had to do it through my laptop, but after a few tries I got it! Nice article. Now I'd like to get a Fiddleback even more. You've got me convinced that the Woodsman or Woodchuck (guardless) is the 'big' knife for me. Will work in both kitchen and the woods. Now to read the rest of the magazine. I'll be thinking about the subscription offer, thanks!

My issue came and what do my eyes see? an ugly mint green BF ;)

Thanks again for the heads up, cool to have a knife in a magazine :)

Cool and thanks man! Yeah, haven't tried the Woodchuck yet, but really want to give a guardless one a go at some point. I think it would be a great dual role knife. I already know the Woodsman is an excellent dual role knife, transitions very well from field to cutting board :) I really enjoy SRI and was really honored when they asked me to write for them!

Lol, I was wondering when you might notice that. Ha, if you ever get tired of looking at that old ugly knife my address was on the box :D

Thank you for the SRI article Mist. Good stuff.

By the way, I have attempted to start a thread under the FF sub-forum all day since about noon. For some reason I cannot get this one started. I tried under the customer service forum, but it did not work either. I have to say that this is a little frustrating that the only way to communicate not being able to start a thread in customer service is to start a thread, which fails.

Thanks Mac, glad you liked it.

Yeah, that has happened to me before too. I have had it so I couldn't start threads, couldn't reply to threads, couldn't send PMs...I started a thread in tech support that I bring back to life when it happens again :)

Mist,
I would love to horse trade with you as I desire a Woodsman ;) But you know the story on this one- has to stay here.
