This might violate forum policy...

I don't know if there is a policy about this on BladeForums, but I don't think that we should be advertising for dealers that aren't willing to pay the price of a dealer membership here. There are dealers that have paid and it isn't fair to them to have members providing free advertising for others, whether you work for them or not.

If you are asked for your opinion of this company or if you just fell like telling everybody how great they are, then by all means do so, but you should not promote products for them.

This of course, is just my opinion.

Edited to correct punctuation.

Actually marcangel, it is policy not to delete threads around here. Besides, as I stated, that was my opinion and nothing more.

Keith I agree with your opinion on this.I'm sure there was no harm meant but anything you can buy from XXXXXknifecompany.com you can surley get from one of our own!!! JMO Mike

Keith, the guy is trying to help people out here! If one of the Mods thought it was that bad they would delete it, end of story!:p

I know that there are "member dealers" here and that a lot of people feel loyalty to them. I have bought knives from a lot of different sources, some members, some not. The store I mentioned is reputable and respnsive, and although they may not be members of the forum they are certainly members fo the community. The fact is, I never would have bought the Spydie Ayoob if I have been stuck with a price somewhere above 100 bucks, and this vendoer was selling them for far less. I was just trying to help out my Spydie loving friends here, many of whom are shallow-pocketed like myself and also would not have otherwise bought the knife. I wasn't trying to advertise, and I don't work for them. The only thing I gain is satisfaction that some other knife knut will also get a cool knife. I understand that there are rules and that you have to enforce them, regardless of intent. Once again, sorry for any hang-ups or hassles.
