Yeah, that sort of looks like a Game Warden or Active Duty with its full tang and rounded butt. Here is a better view of it:

It was made in the mid or late 1960s by Olsen Lee Jr.

That knife looks very useful for field dressing.

Tell me about your 6.5x55... I've thought about getting one of those because of all the great reviews. I'm just afraid I can't buy the ammo here in US. Have you had any problems with finding ammo. How's the kick. Anything you haven't been able to bring down because of size?

Are you asking specifically about the cartridge, or the cartridge and rifle?

About the cartridge, 6.5x55 SE is readily available in the US. I handload for it, though. The brass is easily found. I have used Lapua and Winchester brass. The bullets are shared by many other cartridges. The Hunting Shack, which makes excellent ammo, loads this cartridge, and has five different loads. See: http://www.thehuntingshack.com/

I have used this cartridge and the same load (Sierra 120gr Spitzer Pro-Hunter bullet) to take three antelope thus far. All three have been one-shot hunts, meaning that it is accurate and potent. Before that, I used .308 for antelope hunting, and I find the kick of 6.5x55 SE to be less.
