This much closer ....

Gotta go with the PM2.

Had a Manix 2 LW S90v. Great knife, but just didn’t feel as good in the pocket and I didn’t really care for the axis lock (or whatever Spyderco calls it).

Touch and go with Benchmade. Make sure you can check fit and finish before buying if that is your choice.

Ps. I always thought people were being negative nellies when harping about BM qc until I bought a mini loco and 2 of the scale screws were missing. The only thing holding the scale on was the pivot screw. I do own a couple of BM knives that I like though.

I'd choose a Mini Grip over all, but that's because I like carrying smaller knives. Personal preference and all..
The one Mini Grip I once saw I was very impressed with. It surprised me once I got it in my hand; for some reason I didn't think I would like it.

Same here. Agreed.

Just keep chanting "It's all good" "It's all good" "It's all good" . . . like the bozo does who left the screws out.
I suppose it could have been a new knife that was returned and the customer left the screws out.
Still.

Funny enough, me too haha. I thought the mini grip would be way too small to hold comfortably, and that it just wouldn't be any good for tougher work. My brother actually was showing off his -1(I don't know the right numbers but it's the G10 Sheepsfoot) and I was blown away by how comfortable it was.

A week later I had a mini Ritter in my mailbox. Turned out to be one of my favorite knife purchases thus far. Definitely one I'll never part with.

I think you’re going to end up with a PM 2. Get a higher end one with the better steel. It’s worth the little extra money. Enjoy your PM 2

Get a Manix 2 Lightweight. I prefer the orange + S90V that one vendor sells for ~$120, but I'm going through an orange phase so I may be biased.

IMO, Manix 2 LW > PM2 in every category I care about (e.g. weight, how much pocket it takes up, ergos, etc.).

I can't vote because I've only owned the Griptillian, and only for a couple of weeks. But I'm amazed at how good it feels in hand, and sturdy it feels, how well it slices and how easy it is to open and close with one hand with just a slight flick of the wrist.

Are you looking at specific versions and price point? My choice for attainability would be...
1. PM2 in s110v
2. Manix 2 G10/s110v
3. Griptillian sheepts foot / 20cv

The grip is really only #3 to me if you buy online. I don't really trust Benchmade QC enough to buy sight unseen. Clearly I like spydie holes and G10:D

Manix 2 would be my choice. I have the XL version with g10 scales and I love it.

The PM2 is arguably the best edc currently on the market. The Manix2 edges the Griptilian for second place in this group. IMO.
