This Old Sage

I was so impressed by Rob's knife when I saw the pics that I PM'ed him and asked how he got it looking so good? He put me in touch with Randy (So-Lo) and this was the result. I want to publicly thank both of you guys for my first Spyderco;Probably the nicest looking knife in the rotation. Randy put a lot of work into this thing and I appreciate it. Rob is the one who got the ball rolling with his knife. Unlike me though Rob had a hand in the creation of his knife. I didn't do anything except put it in a box and ship it off.

wow, that's a whole new knfe with the straight spine. not fond of the polished handle but i really like the blade.

i prefer a coarser brushed finish like on the stock ATR TI. or perhaps a darker stonewash like the blade.

nice anyway.
 
Yeah, it wasn't supposed to be that polished. It's going back for a matt finish soon.
 
The Sage looks great.

The chrome clip looks really out of place though.

I'd remove the clip.
 
And the Taiwan etching is gone even! :D Outstanding work and idea from both you and So Lo

Honestly, it' s like I said before. I had absolutely nothing to do with how this knife looks. All the credit goes to Rob and Randy (So-Lo).

That's not false modesty, that's absolute truth. I saw pics of Rob's knife and asked where I could get one like it. He then pointed me towards Randy, so all the kudos go to them.

This post is just my way of thanking them for the nice knife I now get to carry.
