Blade

D2 .190 thick
1.25" wide
7.25" Long
Chisel ground right hand
Tight bound underwrap with Red Ito impregnated and silver dragon menuki

The kydex sheath is something I wanted to develop for this blade. The Turks head knot not only holds the belt clip in place but it also can be used to increase or decrease and fine tune blade retention

Thanks

Really nice, Adam. That has to be the nicest Kydex sheath I have seen.

At .190", is it a bit 'thick' feeling?

I've seen Don Fogg do something similar on what looked like kydex. No Turks head though. Nice work.

Thanks everyone...

The sheath was a challenge since it was the first one. It had to be done by hand since a kydex press did not work..

I really could have used a third hand making it :) Took all day to make it come out just right

Never cared for Kydex but love what you did here Adam just plain nice.

I recently came to the conclusion that you can use kydex in leather like styles. That is a fantastic example. It really shows the versatility over just doing regular "tactical" sheaths.

Nailed it!

Like Fred, I have never been a big Kydex sheath fan, either... but man that looks good, Adam.

Very nice package. I like that the grommets are nearly invisible. A 2 part Kydex sheath which all comes together as seamless.
Yup - very nicely done. Great looking knife too!

Very sexy! I really like the way that looks, at a glance that the sheath is Kydex. Everything is very well done all around. Bravo sir.

Thanks again everyone.

It is good to hear from so many who do not really like Kydex :)

Now I am going to have to make some more Tantos just so I can perfect the design ...lol
