I had a watersnake try and take a trout on my stringer so they will go for dead stuff. Cool photo!

AWESOME PHOTO! I've caught watersnakes with catfish spine sticking out of them, and they didn't care. Its a common thing. One time while restocking my creek, I came up on a tiny, 14 inch Norther Water that was dragging one of the 4 pound cold shocked rainbow trout out of the water like he was going to try to swallow it. I had to remove him from the poor molested trout and told him bad snake, put him way down the creek. I'm wondering how often they try to take things they can't handle.
