:thumbup:Spoken like a true addict Mrs S:D Welcome to the club:o

Shall I begin today's session?? Ok, here we go...

Hello everyone my name is Ben....a-a-and... I...am an RAT addict.
Today I would have completed my RAT collection after purchasing my RC4, but how I need a HEST... God help me when the chopper is released.

It's fun how we're from all corners of the country (and globe for that matter) and are no doubt different in more ways than we're alike. However, we ALL agree that it's a blast to get outside and enjoy the beauty and grandure of nature with a trustworthy blade at or side. Or around our neck. Or in our waistband. Or clipped to our pack. Or.........

oh Lord.......we all know Dylside will finish that thought for you...........:barf:

Oops...:D Laughed too loud, and the boss looked at me like I'm nutz. Sorry but that there was some funny sh!t!

I'm being dead honest when I say this but this whole forum, to me, is a place we can all come to learn and have fun as a group, not much more. It is not solely about RAT Cutlery knives. I could really care less if we sell knives because of this forum. And that's the reason we welcome everyone here as RAT members regardless of what knife they buy or carry (after all it's just a simple damn cutting edge that hasn't really improved that much since the bronze age, and people get wound way too tight about a freakin' knife!). This whole RAT thing is about a "no-bullshit" philosophy of maybe opening some eyes to the reality of the world around us, and maybe being part of someone walking away more educated and possibly learning a skill that saves their ass sometime in the future. So, if you have never owned a real survival knife, start out with a good cheap machete and practice with that before you spend a lot of $$. You may just find that you don't need anything else. Seriously. ;)

 Learning in a fun environment usually, at least in my case, equates to longer retension of information.

Saw a RAT ad in a Magazine thought what the hell. Starting looking at the website really like what I saw. The warranty completely sold me! It is truly unique to find a manufacturer stand behind their product and I mean ANY manufacturer. I have had a few knife makers act as though they didn't care if their product was crap. You bought it so it now your problem. But I will tell you this, this forum it worth its weight in gold for the guys at RAT. No ad spot in the world can encapsulate the quality and devotion to your product as this forum does! I am a believer in product reviews before I buy and this forum takes a product review to the next level.

I love knives let me clarify I now love RAT knives! This forum and the people that contribute their knowledge and experiences is priceless.

Thank you RAT for your quality and patriotism!
Thanks to the Rat Pack for your knowledge and experience and your willingness to share it!

I agree... except the you don't need anything else part. From my first RAT on, I knew I needed more .. and more ... and more.

Honestly I was looking for a custom made knife as my main bush craft knife. Then I stumbled over here.

I have to tell you, the shear passion that people have over their RAT knives is a huge selling point for me. That and the company, the designers / owners and the fact that they are USA and stand behind their products...

Well, lets just say Im a convert. :) Now, it may take me a bit of time to save to buy them, but I see a few RATs in my future.

My Izula will be here soon... then I see an RC4 in my future (you all sold me) and maybe an RC3 after that... (one step at a time).

:thumbup: to everything you said, I agree, this sub forum and RAT Cutlery is as close to the American Dream as a company can get: the freedom, the warrantee these guys are the best... I even have an Izula in the mail right now. The only difference is that I will probably get an RC-3 after my Izula and an RC-6 after that.

I read this forum everyday that I have access to a computer. I've been out of pocket alot over the past couple of weeks, but I've still managed to check in just to try and keep up with all the activity. Thanks to everyone who makes this forum so great.:D

This is a cool forum ! I also look forward to read new threads & posts. There is a wealth of info. on this forum and some pretty funny stuff also. I like to see the pictures that members post on here. It cool to look at these places I have never visited, that real people have been to or live in. Its not some ad for a tourist spot, but some ones back yard that lives in the south, out west, Australia, Hawaii, Alaska and so on. Thanks for posting.

Ha, we are on similar trajectories!

I really like my custom knives quite a bit, but RatCutlery and Scrapyard, are the two manufacturers that I continue to support. The product, the warranty and the ability to communicate with the owners via forums are real selling points for me.

This is a great forum. I read here everyday. I have learned a lot here. It truely is a very nice community. Everyone here is treated with respect which is fairly uncommon on a lot of internet forums.
Oh and I am really liking my Rat Cutlery knives. Started with an RC3Mil. Now I own two RC-3's, one RC-5, an Izula, and have the new Fire Kit. Love them all. I'm sure I will be buying a couple more to fill in the gaps.
Thank you so much for providing this forum:) Its awsome.

i won some money at the casino and bought an rc-3 after researching on the web. then once i got it i started seeking out more information about such nice blade and found this forum. so ultimately its your doing, thanks

I really love this subforum. It is one of the only ones that I know will have almost 100 posts when I dont check it for a day.

I leave the computer for half a day and come back to find there are two pages threads with new posts!

No kiddin'! Even a professional grump like me can't come up with enough grumpy, smart ass replies to keep up with the volume on this board! :D
