This should be interesting. Ways to dress, while wearing your knife. Dressed up/down?

I wear jeans, boots, usually band shirts, a hoodie and also either a leather vest or rainshell much of the time except for the rare occasions I "have" to wear something else for work or an event. What I'm wearing doesn't impact my choice of knives much; it's more of where I'm going but, unless its a concert or a government building, I always have a knife on me. They're just too useful to leave at home, especially if a fella doesn't have much in the way of fingernails. For a day outdoors on the Harley or in the country its usually a small fixed blade like my Busse Active Duty or a neck knife clipped to the belt and a folder clipped to a pocket. If its camping or the deep woods though then its always fun to bring out the bigger blades. For anything else my choice is a mid-sized folder clipped to a pants pocket and a small multitool in the jacket during the cold months or a cargo short pocket during the warmer ones.

Personally, I don't look any differently at a person when I see them carrying a blade other than to try and identify whether its something quality or cheap garbage. If its quality then it may just be worth striking up a conversation. I can't recall ever being judged negatively based purely on a knife; even when I forget and security has caught it an apology and a quick conversation is usually enough to have them smile and offer to hold on to it for me until later or let me return it to my vehicle.

If I see a person carrying a knife in plain sight, I usually try to figure out what it is.
I've been caught staring more than once...awkward.
That has gotten me into more than one conversation about comparing knives with a complete stranger.

My town is fairly easy going. There was the time when I went to court and forgot to leave my keychain ( Spyderco Ladybug ) in the car. The nice sheriff just held onto it until I left.

Well, my situation may be a little different from most. I'm 6'7" tall and weigh in at around 300lbs, so people tnd to get a little intimidated by me at a glance. Then add to that I'm bald(naturally, so I just shave what does grow) and have a thick bushy red beard... I'm a custom cabinet and furniture maker, so I tend to wear jeans along with black shirts and hoodies, people honestly look at me and see a 1%er biker. So I started carrying my esee 3 in a horizontal orientation on my belt, and its hidden most of the time. Parents used to pull their kids away from me all the time, lol.
