hm, good ideas.
back when I got it, I wired it to the status pins of the serial port on my Sparc-1. When I hit the button a little window would pop up on the screen that said 'DON'T PANIC!'
I must report the following, and warn of the beginning of the Opposite Sketches (ok, dated myself TWICE in one post):
Twice today I called megacorp customer service lines, and both times I spoke to knowledgeable people in my own national dialect who either solved my problem or otherwise logged and escalated on my behalf. I got off the phone confused both times, thinking "why am I not pissed off?!?". The second time was to verizon, and the first guy I got after the touch-tone menu knew what DHCP leases were all about, and not once was I asked details about my Windows computer (wtf is one of those anyway?).
