I know I'll need an Forge, oven and press. what else will I need?

I'll take the lathe and mill off your hands. Trade you a paint can forge for them!

It kind of depends on why you are asking.

Is that stuff you already have, or are thinking of buying ?
If it's cheap enough, I'd buy them.

If you have the skills, you can build any grinder you want with those.

That grinder isn't worth much.

No need for an anvil, forging adds a whole level of complexity you don't need for your first knife.

You can do it with files, a broomstick and some abrasive paper.
A drill press really helps

No, these items are not good for making knives. The major components are cast iron. Start with a bar of 1084 or 5160. :D

you can do most of the shaping with that mill if you're any good with it.
