Absinthe my mates is a really wide subject. First of all there isn't a one and only true recipe, the one thing in common is the thujone. My absinthe is made by my friend who is a master of distillery and such, it has approx. 55% of alcohol but you can drink it like soda. In stores there is only 70% absinthe [one from slovakia is quite decent] but you have to drink it with sugar and burning. My friends way: add some sugar [like one little spoon], blend, put it on fire, let it burn a while, put it out, scream "fire in the hole", BOTTOM UP MATES, cover the glass with your palm and then inhale the hot air from inside. Most of my friends collapsed after a one or two shots [being quite wasted already, all of us] I've done five but I'm weird
Results: Well this is not LSD or PCP, don't worry
but to me it is quite different from other alcohols. First time many people throw up but after that comes the party as the alco leaves your body so you can concentrate on what you see. Colors ale way different, neon signs at night are wonderful
Apart from that if the absinthe was good and if you drink enough you can also teleport. It's not a joke, it's a fact
But you have to feel it yourself...
But still it won't turn a hog into a monster, not even into a human so it is not dangerous at all, of one is not psychotic after normal booze then he won't doo harmful stuff after absinthe.
About american absinthe - I've heard that it is illegal in most of the states and probably if you can buy a bottle it won't have thujone, so it is just a common booze then. Here in Poland I've tried Absinthion which worked great but the taste wasn't that awesome, I've drank absinthe from Czech Republic but it tasted like the devils asshole, and also one mentioned above from Slovakia. Still I like my friends absinthe most because of the fantastic taste, even though it doesn't have such effects. Or maybe I just got used to it so much
But this summer he is going to make a new one based on alpine wormwood which is the best source for thujone in the world, somehow he managed to plant it in his garden and it grows!
